In this hands-on aerospace class for grades 1–3, young learners discover the real science behind flight — lift, drag, gravity, and air resistance — by building and testing their own gliders and paper airplanes. Every session is taught by active aerospace engineers in Southern California, bringing real-world knowledge into a fun, age-appropriate format.

What Students Do Each Week

Each class is built around a new flight experiment. Students build straw gliders, fold and test paper airplane designs, explore how wing shape affects stability, and experiment with balloon-powered propulsion and parachute drops. The Mini Airshow Finale

The session wraps up with a mini airshow where students proudly launch their own designs. Whether it’s a perfectly folded paper airplane or a custom straw glider, every child gets to celebrate what they’ve built and learned. This class is offered at NovaEd AeroLab locations across Southern California — including Corona and Orange County.
